Peer Review Process

Principles of peer review in the Journal of Architecture and Urban Planning 

1) In order to develop scientific cooperation and use the maximum capacity of the specialized knowledge, the reviewers of the Journal of Architecture and Urban Planning are selected from reputable universities across the country.

2) This journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer(s) and author(s) identities are concealed from each other throughout the review process.  

3) The selection of reviewers is based on their area of expertise and academic ranks.

4) Reviewers are required to fill out the standard review form and state their reasons for acceptance, revision, or rejection of the article in a written format.

 

Duration of manuscript review 

1) The initial manuscript evaluation takes a maximum of 10 days.

2) The peer review process from submission to final decision takes about 5 months (this process entailspresenting the article in the editorial board meeting, receiving the reviewers’ feedback, submitting potential revision, re-evaluating the revised version, along with other complementary measures, and the final acceptance or rejection of the article).
